Eyebrows Microblading Pre Care
Whether you want microblading, or any other eyebrow treatment, it is important to follow strict precare and aftercare rules. Otherwise, the results might not be as expected.
The instructions apply to the following eyebrow treatments:
- Microblading
- Fluffy Brows®
- Shading
- Ombre powder brows
- Combo brows (microblading + shading)
- Nano Brows
First of all, check if you are a suitable candidate for permanent eyebrows treatment. If you have any of these conditions, please inform us and consult your doctor to make sure you are allowed to have microblading or shading treatment.
- Upcoming vaccination
- Pregnant or nursing
- Diabetic
- Viral infections and/or diseases
- Epilepsy
- Pacemaker or heart conditions
- Had an Organ transplant
- Tendency towards keloids or scarring
- Seborrheic dermatitis
- Skin irritations or psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
- Sick (cold, flu, etc.)
- Had Botox in the past 2 months
- Used Accutane in the past year
- Taken Doxycycline in the past 6 months
- Allergies to anesthetic (lidocaine) or epinephrine
- Extremely oily or problematic skin
- Cancer or chemotherapy
- Auto-immune diseases
How to prepare for a permanent eyebrow treatment?
- Alcoholic drinks, drinks containing caffeine should be avoided at least 24 hours before treatment.
- Solarium or sunbathing should be avoided seven days before treatment.
- It is very important to refrain from all alcohol, aspirin, or aspirin products, such as blood thinners.
- Please refrain from Ibuprofen and Aleve for 24 hours prior to your appointment.
- The only acceptable product for aches and pain is Tylenol.
- Also refrain from Vitamin E and fish oil capsules for 3 days prior to your application.
- Should not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Not pregnant or nursing.
- No previous Tattoo
Microblading After Care Instructions
- Avoid getting the brow area wet for at least 7 days.
- Don’t wear makeup or any other products, including sunblock on the treated area for 10 days.
- Don’t pick at scabs, tug, or itch the eyebrow area.
- Do not use washcloth or anything abrasive on the treatment area
- Avoid hot tubs, sauna, swimming, excessive sweating, tanning beds and direct sunlight for 7-10 days.
Lashes Care
Lash lift is easy to maintain, but the precare and aftercare are very important. With lash extensions, you need to be a little bit more careful, but the tips are pretty much the same.
Lashes Precare
To prepare properly for lash treatment, follow these steps:
- Don’t wear makeup to the appointment.
- Don’t wear waterproof mascara for a week before the treatment, because your eyes need to be perfectly clean and without any traces of mascara.
- Come showered, since showering is non-advisable during the aftercare period.
- If you wear contact lenses, take them off and wear glasses instead.
- Notify your lash stylist if you have any known allergies.
Lashes Postcare
When it comes to semi-permanent lashes aftercare, the first 24h are crucial.
During that period:
- Don’t wear mascara.
- Don’t get them wet. Don’t shower for 24 hours (or if you really have to, make it quick). Avoid steamy rooms, such as saunas.
- Don’t apply any products on your lashes during that period.
- Don’t touch your lashes.
Permanent Makeup Care
Lip Blush
You should avoid or reconsider lip blush tattoo if you
- Are pregnant or nursing
- Are undergoing chemotherapy
- Have diabetes
- Have hyperpigmentation
- Use medicines that are known to be blood thinners
- Have diabetes
- Have psoriasis in the treated area
- Have an auto-immune disease
- You have anemia (pigment may not retain properly)
- Have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring
Lip Blush Precare
- Use Vaseline, balm or coconut oil to nourish your lips.
- Clean them with a cotton pad and a little bit of water after every meal.
- Don’t wear any makeup for a week.
- Avoid spicy food. It is also recommended to take beverages on a straw and avoid food for two days.
- Do not rub, scratch and peel the area.
- Don’t expose your lips to the sun, hot tubs, tanning beds, saunas, swimming pools.
Lip Blush Postcare
Before deciding to undergo permanent eyeliner treatment, check if you are the right candidate.
People with following conditions should avoid it:
- diabetes
- serious diseases such as cancer, epilepsy or autoimmune disorders
- any bleeding disorders
- people who take blood thinning medications
- people who’ve recently had Botox injections or fillers
Permanent Eyeliner Care
Before deciding to undergo permanent eyeliner treatment, check if you are the right candidate. People with following conditions should avoid it:
- diabetes
- serious diseases such as cancer, epilepsy or autoimmune disorders
- any bleeding disorders
- People who take blood thinning medications
- People who’ve recently had Botox injections or fillers
Permanent Eyeliner Precare
The preparation for semi-permanent eyeliner procedure should involve these steps:
- Do not dye or perm your eyelashes for 2 days prior to your procedure
- Inform your cosmetic tattoo professional about any eye surgery (cataracts, lasik) that you may have had
- Avoid taking fish oil few days prior as it thins your blood which can tend to push out the pigment
- Do not wear contact lenses during the procedure and for the next 24 hours
- Come showered, since showering is non-advisable during the aftercare period
- Don’t wear makeup to your appointment, as it will be removed at the site of the treatment
- Bring sunglasses to wear home as your eyes may be sensitive to light after the treatment
Permanent Eyeliner Aftercare
The instructions you should follow during the semi-permanent eyeliner aftercare:
- Don’t get the new tattoo wet for the next seven days. Be careful when showering, wash your hair and face.Most importantly, do not use make-up on or near the area for seven days, until your skin is completely healed.
- Do not touch, rub or pick any of the scabs or dry skin that you might see on your face. However, everyone’s skin is completely different, so you may have or may not have scabbing.
- Do not sleep on your face.
- If you have lash extensions, remove them a couple of days before the treatment.
