EYEBROWS CARE

Whether you want microblading, or any other eyebrow treatment, it is important to follow strict precare and aftercare rules. Otherwise, the results might not be as expected.

The instructions apply to the following eyebrow treatments:

  • Microblading
  • Shading
  • Ombre powder brows
  • Combo brows (microblading + shading)
  • Fluffy brows

First of all, check if you are a suitable candidate for permanent eyebrows treatment. If you have any of these conditions, please inform us and consult your doctor to make sure you are allowed to have microblading or shading treatment.

  • Upcoming vacations
  • Pregnant or nursing
  • Diabetic
  • Viral infections and/or diseases
  • Epilepsy
  • Pacemaker or heart conditions
  • Had an Organ transplant
  • Tendency towards keloids or scarring
  • Seborrheic dermatitis
  • Skin irritations or psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
  • Sick (cold, flu, etc.)
  • Had Botox in the past 2 months
  • Used Accutane in the past year
  • Taken Doxycycline in the past 6 months
  • Allergies to anesthetic (lidocaine) or epinephrine
  • Extremely oily or problematic skin
  • Cancer or chemotherapy
  • Auto-immune diseases

How to prepare for a permanent eyebrow treatment?

  • Don’t go sunbathing or tanning and try not to work out on the day of the treatment.
  • Stop using any retinol or Vitamin A products one month prior.
  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, ibuprofen, aspirin and fish oil supplements for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
  • Don’t pluck or wax your eyebrows at least a week before the treatment.
  • Also, don’t do any facials at least two weeks before the treatment.

What does the permanent eyebrow treatment aftercare involve?

  • Wash your face gently and be especially careful around the treated area. Pat it with a clean tissue. Don’t rub your brows.
  • Use only products prescribed by your esthetician. Don’t use skincare products on your own, because they can contain ingredients such as exfoliants and acids, which can affect the pigment.
  • Let the scabs fall off naturally. Don’t pick them because you can rip some pigment off and it is hard to fix.
  • Don’t sleep on your face and use a clean pillowcase.
  • Don’t wear makeup for at least 10 days.
  • Avoid sweating, saunas, swimming pools and long showers.
  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning, for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure. Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyperpigmentation and scarring.

LASHES CARE

Lash lift is easy to maintain, but the precare and aftercare are very important. With lash extensions, you need to be a little bit more careful, but the tips are pretty much the same.

LASHES PRECARE

To prepare properly for lash treatment, follow these steps:

  • Don’t wear makeup to the appointment.
  • Don’t wear waterproof mascara for a week before the treatment, because your eyes need to be perfectly clean and without any traces of mascara.
  • Come showered, since showering is non-advisable during the aftercare period.
  • If you wear contact lenses, take them off and wear glasses instead.
  • Notify your lash stylist if you have any known allergies.

LASHES POSTCARE

When it comes to semi-permanent lashes aftercare, the first 24h are crucial.
During that period:

  • Don’t wear mascara.
  • Don’t get them wet. Don’t shower for 24 hours (or if you really have to, make it quick). Avoid steamy rooms, such as saunas.
  • Don’t apply any products on your lashes during that period.
  • Don’t touch your lashes.

PERMANENT MAKEUP CARE

LIP BLUSH

You should avoid or reconsider lip blush tattoo if you:

  • Are pregnant or nursing

  • Have psoriasis in the treated area
  • Have an auto-immune disease
  • You have anemia (pigment may not retain properly)
  • Have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring

LIP BLUSH PRECARE

In order to prepare for lip blush treatment, follow these steps:

  • Use Vaseline, balm or coconut oil to nourish your lips.
  • Clean them with a cotton pad and a little bit of water after every meal.
  • Don’t wear any makeup for a week.
  • Avoid spicy food. It is also recommended to take beverages on a straw and avoid food for two days.
  • Do not rub, scratch and peel the area.
  • Don’t expose your lips to the sun, hot tubs, tanning beds, saunas, swimming pools.
